Update 2 : Full review for Gole10 now published here.
Update : Gole10 will arrive soon for a review. Unboxing here.
It's almost autumn, so manufacturers are starting to show off their new devices ahead of the HK fairs.
Higole (previously known as Gole) just launched an upgrade of the Gole1 Plus mini PC we reviewed a while ago, and that I use ever since.
The new device is named Higole Gole10 and comes with a larger touchscreen with a better resolution (10.1 inch, 1200 x 1920 IPS), and also what seems to be better speakers and a RS232 DB9 port, which positions the device for home and industrial use.
The device does come with just 2GB of RAM and 32 GB ROM, which I have to say that might prove to be difficult to use with Windows 10, but most likely a 4GB/64GB version should follow.
Higole Gole10 full specs
- CPU: Intel® Atom™ x5-Z8350(2M Cache, up to 1.92 GHz)
- GPU: Intel® HD Graphics (200 MHz base, 500Mhz max)
- RAM: 2GB DDR3
- ROM: 32GB Nand
- WiFi: 802.11 b/g/n (Dual Band)
- LAN: 10/100
- USB: 1 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0
- Audio/Video: HDMI, speaker, Headphone Jack, SD card (128Gb max)
- Other: Bluetooth 4.0, 10.1 inch 1200 x 1920 IPS
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
Specs are a bit unclear, but it seems that the outer casing is now made of plastic - while Gole1 Plus has a metal casing. The touch screen seems to have only 5 touch points (Gole1 Plus has 8).
I do like the fact that the speakers are now on front, this should provide better sound than my Gole1 Plus has.
Higole Gole10 is now available at GearBest for $168.99.
You can also use the coupon code GBG10 to drop the price to $148.99.
