Hisilicon Hi3798C V200
One of the most expected SoC's of the year is HiSilicon Hi3798C V200, which would bring better image quality (thanks to the HiVXE 2.0 Video decoding engine), an 1080P UI, 4K at 60 fps, H.265/HEVC 10 bit, BDMV and BD-ISO support (including 3D).
The newest Mini PC using this SoC was announced by UyeSee, company that launched some well-received HiSilicon models in the past.
UyeSee S500 will come with 2GB of RAM, 8GB of eMMC storage and just two USB ports (2.0 and 3.0, one of each).
The advanced features (HDR, Dolby Vision, HiVXE 2.0) are better used with high bitrates, which in turn need fast connectors.
UyeSee S500 comes with Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 ac, USB 3.0, so it's well covered.

UyeSee S500 Mini PC
So a very capable SoC in terms of video and audio decoding, and one of the first to break free from the Mali 400/450 curse.
UyeSee plans to launch two models with this SoC, one with a 3.5'' HDD bay and the aforementioned S500.
Currently the device is in pre-production, samples will be available in a couple of weeks - we might be reviewing one, so if you're interested in HiSilicon Hi3798C V200 you can check back later for updates.
