With the Chinese New Year just around the corner, we will have less product announcements for a while from the Asian manufacturers (Happy CNY to all our Chinese friends, btw!

But we have at least one more article, as Xiaomi will launch this week two new Mini PC's : the Mi Box 4 and the entry-level Mi Box 4c.

Both devices are using the Amlogic S905L chipset (yes, L - there are quite a few S905 variants, Xiaomi launched the first devices using the "L" one).
But you can easily tell them apart: the entry-level 4c is black, while the slightly higher end one is white. Other than that, the differences are on RAM size (1GB vs 2GB) and some extra features (Mi Box 4 has Dolby Audio support and Bluetooth 4.1 LE + EDR).

Noticed the minimalistic ports? They couldn't add more on the device, as it's size is just 95 x 95 x 16 mm, with a weight of just 145 grams.

But this a 2018 device, so they did add a voice-enabled airmouse which will help with controlling the media rendering experience or even the home appliances (of course, it will play nice with other Xiaomi devices, we'll talk about the Xiaomi ecosystem in a future article).
